PRP TREATMENT

What is PRP?

The PRP facial was created to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin production. It uses the body’s own regenerative chemicals, no artificial chemicals or toxins are used, just your own blood which is treated and re-injected into your body.

The idea is that injecting PRP (also called Platelet-rich plasma) into damaged tissues will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing.

PRP is particularly effective for:

  • creating younger looking skin,

  • treating the thin under-eye area,

  • reducing the appearance of fine lines

  • thickening the supporting layer of the skin.

It can also be used to stimulate hair growth in those who have thinning hair.

Procedure

Dr Mendelovici will map out main areas of facial concern, targeting injections in the selected area.

PRP uses your own blood in the treatment. A small amount of blood is taken and spun to separate it into its different components. The platelet-rich part containing large amounts of regenerative and healing molecules is separated and injected into the skin, causing the body to create new collagen and elastin, which are key to younger looking skin.

There is no recovery period required, only minor bruises can occur.
